Extra Dirty Page 12
Two hours later, Cam’s chill had improved. He’d relaxed in the hushed silence of the bath chambers, which were illuminated chiefly by candlelight, and embraced the experience. Now, both of them were spread out on neighboring massage tables while four pairs of hands set Jesse’s muscles ablaze. His lids heavy and his mind bleary, he fixed his eyes on Cam, who smiled back, his expression soft with bliss.
The next thing Jesse knew, he woke to gentle touches and whispers. He and Cam made their way to the steam room, arms linked again, and once the door was sealed, Jesse sat back and closed his eyes. He breathed in the eucalyptus-infused vapor clouds, and Cam twined their fingers together, his hold neither too loose nor tight but enough to anchor Jesse while he dozed.
“You should go home and get some rest,” Cam told him another hour later. They were headed for the door to the street.
“I just spent most of the afternoon napping, Cam. I feel fresh as a New York daisy.” Jesse meant to joke, but the concern he read in Cam’s expression threw him off balance. “I don’t have to be at Under tonight until ten or so anyway, which gives me—”
Cam cut him off. “Wait, you’re going to the bar tonight?” They approached the black sedan that had returned to pick them up and he furrowed his brows.
“Y-e-es,” Jesse replied slowly. “You’re working tonight, too, Red, or have you forgotten?”
“No, of course not.” Cam rubbed his jaw as the driver stepped out to open the door. “Seems a little weird to me you’d go in when you’re exhausted.”
Jesse waited until they were seated and the car door closed behind them before he spoke again. “I’ve been out of town all week. I need to show my face at the bar and check in with Kyle to make sure everything’s running well.” He raised a brow at Cam’s pursed lips. “I’ll be going in tomorrow night by the way, in the event you feel like giving me shit about that, too.”
“No, I… That’s not what I’m trying to do.” Cam’s face fell. Once more, he sought out Jesse’s hand, his grip firm this time. “I’m not trying to make you feel bad, but if you don’t give a damn about how tired you are, someone else should.”
Jesse cut Cam off with a quick, chaste kiss that belied the burst of gladness that flashed through him. He liked knowing Cam gave a shit about him and not just about what Jesse could do for him. Cam had never given him reason to think otherwise, but still—he’d dealt with enough people over the years who were only out for themselves.
“I feel fine, honestly,” he told Cam. “I’ll even sleep in tomorrow if that makes you feel better,” he said a second before Cam leaned in and kissed him back hard.
Heat gathered in Jesse’s groin, and the rush of desire made his head spin. Cam cupped Jesse’s jaw between his palms and uttered a low hum as their tongues slid together. Jesse shivered when Cam finally pulled back.
“Tell me we’re going back to your place.” Cam’s gaze heated. He pushed out his lips in a pout when Jesse shook his head. “Why not?”
“There’s something I need to check out first,” Jesse started, then cut himself off as Cam moved a finger and rested it on Jesse’s lower lip.
“Something more important than fucking me in that big bed of yours until we have to go to work?”
“Jesus, Cam.” The car pulled up to the curb and Jesse gently pushed him back. “Hold that thought for a few minutes more and stop trying to destroy my sanity.” Cam’s laughter curled around him and he shifted in his seat.
Cam went silent once inside the Greenwich Hotel. Jesse had no doubt he was admiring their beautifully understated surroundings and trying like hell to figure out what Jesse might be up to as he checked in. In the meantime, Jesse fought to keep his hands to himself. His cock throbbed every time Cam met his glance, so he focused on the pretty blonde hotel rep, who took them to one of the hotel’s penthouse suites, and her pleasant, bland words.
“What are we doing here?” Cam whispered after the rep moved away from them.
“Checking out a penthouse, duh,” Jesse replied. He smiled at Cam’s withering glare. “I’ll explain why, I promise, so don’t yell at me. We can go back to my place as soon as I’m done looking around, if you like. Or, since the place is paid for through tomorrow, we can stay and you can fuck me in a different big bed.”
Cam groaned under his breath. He didn’t say another word, not even when the hotel rep reappeared with her final pitch. At last, she took her leave, closing the door behind her with a loud click, and Cam pulled Jesse into a blistering kiss. Jesse moaned into his mouth. Cam shoved a hand between them and palmed Jesse through his trousers, his touch rough.
Heat flooded Jesse’s body from head to toe. He hauled Cam almost off his feet and Cam wrapped his arms around Jesse’s neck. Their mouths rarely parted as Jesse manhandled him up the stairs to the second level.
Both of them were panting hard by the time they staggered into the master bedroom. They undressed each other quickly and Cam lay back against the vast bed with a smile.
“Come here,” he rasped. The greed in his voice made Jesse groan.
He climbed in beside Cam, his skin pebbling under Cam’s grasping hands. Cam pushed him back onto the mattress and crawled over him, sucking and biting Jesse’s skin. Jesse reveled in the weight of the body bearing down on him. He pressed his fingers hard into Cam’s waist, and Cam gasped. Jesse’s entire body coiled tight with desire.
"Need to taste you," he ground out, thankful when Cam nodded and shifted his weight backward.
Cam turned his body around to face Jesse’s feet, and Jesse couldn’t hold back a moan as Cam settled his tight abdomen and erection inches from his face. Cam’s cock stood red and rigid and gorgeous, and simply looking at him made Jesse’s mouth water.
He pressed his face into the crease between Cam’s hip and groin. He breathed in the heady smell of soap and sweat and Cam, and his stomach clenched with arousal. He took Cam in hand. Cam uttered a low noise and bucked his hips gently when Jesse licked his cockhead. But the moment Cam’s mouth opened over him, Jesse was gone.
They moved against each other for an unknowable time, each pulling the other close and feasting on sensation. Jesse fell into a feedback loop. His heart thundered, rendering him blind and deaf to everything but the body against his. All he knew was Cam’s heated, slick skin, the inferno of Cam’s mouth, the weight of Cam on his tongue.
Jesse tensed as a finger slid along the cleft of his ass, his balls drawing up tight when it breached his rim. And he came, his scream muffled by the cock in his throat. His body jerked, and the orgasm tore through him with almost painful intensity while Cam drank him down.
He floated, his body still trembling with aftershocks as his spent cock fell from Cam’s lips. Dimly, he recognized Cam’s needy noises. He gripped the globes of Cam’s ass harder and resumed sucking, encouraging Cam to fuck his mouth without words. Cam bucked forward, and Jesse’s heart lurched. He wrapped his arms around Cam’s waist and held on, his hands shaking. He moaned nonstop as Cam used him, and the punishing pace made his eyes water and his jaw ache. He loved every fucking second.
Cam made a wrenching noise and came. Jesse’s chest went tight. He swallowed Cam’s bittersweet cum, but when Cam finally shifted and pulled out, Jesse went boneless, too wrung out to move. Helpless against the exhaustion crashing over him, Jesse turned into the strong arms that pulled him close, and a wonderful sense of comfort made it easy to allow the world to slip away.
* * * *
Jesse didn’t how much time had passed the next time he surfaced, but then Cam laughed quietly and that put a smile on his face.
“Hey, sleepy. You back with me?”
A rumbling chuckle rolled through Jesse’s chest. Cam was wrapped around him, but he shifted to give Jesse room to move. Jesse raised his arms over his head and stretched.
“I think so. How long was I out?”
“Maybe half an hour? Not long.” Cam ran a hand over Jesse’s hair.
Jesse sank against the sheets. “Huh. The jet lag and the bat
hhouse blitzed my brain. Not to mention you sucked my brain through my dick and almost killed me.”
Cam’s cheeks flushed, but he certainly looked proud of himself. “I’m not apologizing for that.” He blew a raspberry against Jesse’s cheek before extricating himself enough to sit up.
“I looked around while you were snoozing, by the way, and almost got lost in this fucking place.”
“It’s nice, isn’t it?” Jesse yawned and tucked his hands behind his head.
“Nice doesn’t cover it.” Cam stared at him, his expression incredulous. “I’m pretty sure it’s twice the size of my apartment. There’s a sauna. The kitchen and dining room could seat the whole first grade class at Midtown Academy. This isn’t a hotel suite—it’s a house!”
Jesse shrugged. “There’s a bigger penthouse down the hall that takes up half the floor. It has two gardens and a pool, but I figured it’s way over the top for my needs.”
“Which are what? And you promised you’d tell me why we’re here, so ’fess up.”
“I’m having the floors at my place refinished. I just need to decide when,” Jesse said. “I’d rather set up camp somewhere while the work is done to avoid breathing fumes and tiptoeing around wet floors. You in the mood to eat, by the way? I’m about to eat my own hand, I’m so hungry.”
Cam nodded. “I could eat. But what do your floors have to do with this hotel?”
Jesse sat up and threw off the bedding. “Like I said, I need somewhere to stay while the work is being done. A friend suggested the penthouses here, and I figured I’d check them out. This is nice, but I think I’ll look around closer to the office before I decide.”
Cam said nothing for several seconds. “Couldn’t you stay with family or friends?”
“Oh, sure, but I don’t want to put anybody out. A lot of my friends have partners or children or both, and dealing with me and my weird work hours would be asking a lot. Besides, with the traveling I’ve done recently, it’s not like staying in a New York hotel will be any big deal.”
Jesse stood and stretched again, and this time his head spun. He swayed in place. “Gah.”
“You okay?” Cam crawled over the bed and placed a steadying hand on his elbow.
“Headrush.” Jesse ran his hands through his hair, then tipped his head toward the door. “Let’s get food. Shit, I should take my drugs, too.”
Cam jerked to a halt, his eyes wide. “Your what now?”
Jesse laughed. “Oh, man, your face!” He tugged Cam’s hand and drew him into the bathroom. He pulled a small pill case from his Dopp kit and rattled its contents with a brisk shake. “Truvada, a multivitamin, calcium and Celadrin. All deeply boring and not worth sharing. There’s extra vitamins if you want one, though.”
Cam smiled. He said nothing as Jesse filled a water glass and swallowed his doses down. When he turned around again, Cam wore a sober expression and Jesse quashed an internal grumble.
“The Truvada’s for PrEP, in case you were wondering. I’d have told you otherwise, of course.”
“Oh, I figured it was prophylactic.” Cam shrugged. “I’m guessing you’d only need one pill for HIV prevention but a fuckton more to manage it. Besides, we had the STD talk already.”
“Yes, we did.”
Cam stepped forward and ran his hands over Jesse’s chest. “What’s the calcium supplement for? And what the heck is Celadrin?”
“They’re for bone and joint health, respectively.” Jesse reached down and patted Cam’s ass. “When I’m not traveling, I try to run with Carter a couple of times a week and I need to keep my skeleton healthy because that fucker is fast.”
Cam looked thoughtful. “Huh. What do you do when you are traveling?”
“Oh, I still run, but I don’t have to keep up with his long-ass legs.”
They washed up and continued chatting, then each pulled on a plush hotel robe. After ambling downstairs to the kitchen, they found the refrigerator stocked according to Jesse’s orders when he’d made the reservation. Cam opened a bottle of Semillon, and they sat down to snack on cheese and fresh fruit while they paged through the hotel’s restaurant menu.
“What about your brother?” Cam asked after they’d called in an order. “You could stay with Eric and Sara while your floors are being done, couldn’t you?”
Jesse made a face. “They’re getting ready for their first baby—they need all the alone time they can get. I thought about staying with my parents, but my mother would be up one side of me and down the other over my hours at the bar.”
“Fair enough. And Kyle?”
“He lives in a glorified studio with barely enough space for one person, let alone two. So, no.” Jesse popped a grape in his mouth. “You’ve been there, haven’t you?” He raised a brow when Cam shook his head. “Aren’t you guys gaming?”
“Oh, we are.” Cam sipped his wine. “But we can do that online any time. Besides, I didn’t know if things would be weird with Kyle considering, you know, the last time I saw him.”
Jesse chuckled. “Dude, I told you—Kyle’s fine with what happened. He’d be even more fine if things go differently sometime the three of us are together, of course. I also happen to know he’d be fucking thrilled if you ever wanted to hook up with him regardless if I’m around or not.”
“Really?” Cam looked at him askance.
“Sure. It’s not like Kyle’s my boyfriend or anything.”
And neither are you.
The words Jesse didn’t say hung between them even as he continued. “If you’re both into it, don’t hesitate. Kyle and I have shared partners before and never had a problem.”
A knowing expression crossed Cam’s face. “You guys do that a lot?”
“Occasionally. Kyle’s not into women, which means there are fewer opportunities than there could be. Unfortunately.” Jesse’s scowl made Cam laugh.
“So, did you and Kyle do that occasionally with Carter?”
Jesse blinked, caught off guard by the conversation’s left turn. Cam’s ears went pink. “What do you mean?”
“Riley told me you and Carter used to be involved,” Cam explained. “And that Carter and Kyle used to be involved, too. I figured maybe you, Carter and Kyle—”
“No,” Jesse cut in, his voice gentle. “Kyle and I were both seeing Carter at the same time, true, but we never made it a group thing. We tried like hell to talk Car into it, mind you, but he didn’t feel comfortable with the idea.”
Jesse sipped his wine. In truth, Carter was dead set against threesomes, almost to the point of hostility. However, once upon a time, Carter and Riley had been very into group sex, so long as they participated together. They’d started sharing girls on a whim during their college years and stopped the threesomes only after graduation. But the spark between them had never gone out, even after they’d married other people. Carter’s son, Dylan, had still been in preschool when Carter had initiated the group scenes with Riley once more, this time with a hired escort. From that moment, the secrets he and Riley had kept and the lies they’d told had slowly sabotaged their marriages and almost destroyed their friendship. With work, Carter and Riley had made it out of the turmoil, but each bore their own scars.
He schooled his expression. Carter’s story wasn’t his to tell, but he also didn’t agree with his friend’s ban on threesomes. “I’m still working on changing Carter’s mind,” he admitted. “I figure he can only hold out for so long if I play my cards right.”
“What about Riley?” Cam rolled his eyes at the wolfish smile Jesse gave him.
“I think Riley would do many things to see his boyfriend hook up with another man, and I am more than happy to volunteer as tribute.”
“You’re such a hedonist.”
“Out and proud. But I mean, come on, can you blame me?”
“No, I can’t.” Cam sighed. “They’re both gorgeous. I remember meeting Carter last summer at the school’s open house. He came with his ex-wife, and they told me about Riley, too. Then, I met
Riley a couple of weeks later and wanted to know why the universe hated me so much.”
His pout made Jesse laugh. “My poor Cam,” he crooned and ran a hand over Cam’s shoulders. He stilled when the door chime sounded.
“That’ll be the food, thank God. Be right back.” Jesse stood. “There’s red wine on the counter if you want it with dinner.”
A strange uneasiness wormed its way back into Jesse’s head as he and Cam chatted over their dinner. He’d been surprised by Cam’s questions about Kyle and Carter. And the knowledge Cam had spoken to Riley about the connections among the group of friends rankled. Jesse should have given Cam that information himself. No matter how much Jesse liked spending time with him, Cam needed to understand how he operated—that he had few boundaries and expected the same from his partners.
“What’s going on this weekend?” he asked over his duck entree. “I mean, besides the club.”
“Not a hell of a lot,” Cam replied. “I promised my co-worker I’d meet her to shop vintage tomorrow, and I have a brunch thing in Jersey on Sunday.” He grinned. “It’s my dad’s birthday.”
Jesse picked up his glass and tapped it against Cam’s. “Happy birthday to Dad. You should take the angry bartender from Ember with you—you can feed him cake to cheer him up.”
“Ben?” Cam wrinkled his nose. “Yeah, that’s not happening. It’s not like we were even friends before we started hooking up. Besides, he’s still giving me the cold shoulder. I should tell him to go fuck himself, but I don’t even know why I’d bother, given we screwed around for, like, a nanosecond.
“What about you, Big Money—what’s on the docket besides schmoozing at the bar?”
“I have a date with Astrid tomorrow. She’s annoyed I’m not around much lately, so we set up time to do lots of terrible things together,” Jesse said. “Plus, I met some people she knows while I was in London, and it turns out one of them is Astrid’s arch enemy.”
He held up a hand when Cam’s expression shifted from curious to confused. “Don’t ask. I have no idea what that means, either. Women are forever confusing.”
